Northlake Church of Christ wants to be a church for young adults who are looking to begin their work career or graduate school and are energized by the opportunities that Atlanta offers.
Atlanta offers unparalleled options for both education and the work force; our hope is that we can find young adults who move to Atlanta, pursue the next chapter of their lives, and be a vital part of Northlake’s life and mission.
We are also looking for people who have been thinking deeply about “missional living”.
Many young adults have spent considerable time on mission trips as members of teen youth groups, or campus ministries. You may be wondering if graduation from college means the end of living this type of life of service. We believe it should not, and want to help you both discover ways to continue to live a life filled with the mission of God.
Or, perhaps you have even had thoughts of being a missionary or have given consideration to spending a year or two doing some mission or humanitarian work before moving on to graduate school or career.
The Northlake Church of Christ is uniquely located in an area of Atlanta that is surrounded by a variety of people from all parts of the world. Most dramatically, we are “next door” to a center of refugee resettlement in the US. Northlake is an ideal base from which to do mission work without leaving the United States! As a congregation that takes seriously Jesus’ command to go into all the world, we live in a reality that the world has come to Atlanta—and to us.
